Gerry Hoag has taught sculpture, artistic anatomy, and drawing at Harvard University, Boston University, the New York Academy of Art’s Graduate School of Figurative Art, Massachusetts College of Art and Design, The Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University, and Montserrat College of Art. He received a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and an MFA from Boston University. In addition to his formal artistic anatomical training, he assisted in clinical autopsies with numerous pathologists in hospitals for more than six years. He maintains a studio in central Massachusetts, where he also designs and builds industrial design prototypes, and he exhibits in the metropolitan Boston area.
